Private health funds provide a rebate for most health services, depending on your fund and your level of cover. Upon payment of your account, you will be issued with a receipt to present to your health fund.
Some chronic conditions are subsidised by Medicare. Discuss options with your GP. All Medicare Health Care Plans need to be finalised and forwarded to Better Start prior to a consultation with your speech pathologist. Upon payment of your account, please present your receipt to Medicare to receive your eligible rebate.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers children with a disability financial assistance for services deemed necessary in their Early Intervention Plan. NDIS Plans need to be provided prior to receiving consultations. To enquire about your child's eligibility for the NDIS, contact 1800 800 110.
Helping children with Autism (HCWA) is a government initiative providing assistance to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. With the introduction of the new NDIS, most South Australian children with Autism are now covered by NDIS.
