Assessment

Assessments are charged at $193.99 per hour.  The list below is a guideline.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Better Start are providers of government funded disability support for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants who are Plan Managed or Self Managed. We reserve the right to change our fees according to the NDIS recommended schedule. Provider travel non-labour costs will apply.

Medicare Plans

Medicare Plans from your GP or Pediatrician are accepted. Full payment for services is requested. A receipt will then be issued promptly which can be lodged with Medicare in order to receive your rebate. Please discuss the terms of your Medicare plan with us so we can provide information on out-of-pocket expense and claiming.

Private Health Insurance

Better Start is registered with Private Health Insurers. As all tables differ, we ask you to contact your Insurance Company to enquire about the level of cover you have for speech pathology.

Payment Information

We have direct debit facilities so your account can be processed after your child's session. Receipts are sent electronically via your nominated email. You are not required to make payment to the speech pathologist on the day of your child's session.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or VISA/Mastercard payment. Unfortunately our speech pathologists are not able to accept cash payment due to security reasons.

Cancellation fees will apply for non-attendance and late notification. We require two business days notification if you intend to cancel the scheduled session.
